I went to high school with a girl whose last name was Stump. Interestingly, she was the first of us graduates to get married—at 19! The theory was that she was ready to marry anyone in order to change her last name. She became a Vormelker.

The address mentioned in Chapter 26 as being for the convention center, 111 Harbor Drive, is the address of the current San Diego Convention Center.
Factoid Seven
In Chapter 26, I mention Sally using an RMW-634 contact microphone to listen through the wall separating her from the vault. I came up with the “634” part of the model number because it happened to be 6:34 p.m. when I was writing that.
Factoid Eight
I purposely made the various terrorists Farrah encounters in the book prone to making mistakes or being careless or not being good in fights. I did this because it seems to me that every action movie involving a gang of thugs, the thugs are always expertly trained fighters or marksmen, or are able to conduct themselves perfectly in crisis situations. I didn’t want everyone in Dez’s crew to be so…Hollywood, and central-casting perfect as baddies.

The names of Farrah and Zinnia’s dogs, Selina and Kyle, are named after Catwoman’s alter ego, Selina Kyle.
Factoid Ten
I designed the cover art myself. I wanted the main figure to be shadowy but not frightening, giving the impression that there were two people in the image instead of one, and that the Justice Girl persona was emerging from the Farrah persona.
